Owning a white outdoor rocking chair has been an absolute joy. I love my rocker! While out in the garden, I will often look up at the porch and see my white rocker and smile. It is gorgeous. I know. I know. I might seem a little over excited about a rocking chair, but it is more than just a regular outdoor rocking chair, my chair is made of recycled white plastic.

As a city dweller, I do my best to contribute to the nature of the world I live in. I recycle everything I can and I am proud of the time I spend on my recycling efforts. I live in a small house with an even smaller yard, but I still have a garden and enjoy sitting outside on my porch looking out over the city.

For me, it was important to find a rocking chair that was made out of a recycled product. I would not have been able to relax in a chair that I knew was part of a cedar tree just cut down to make the chair I was sitting in. Instead, I have a wonderfully comfortable rocking chair that is made out of recycled plastic.

Plastic is one of the most under recycled materials today. Many people will recycle newspapers and soda cans, but do not want to put the work into recycling plastics. I painstakingly rinse my plastic bottles out and take them to the recycling center every month. So when I saw the opportunity to buy a chair made from all my recycling hard work, I just could not resist.
